Healthy Schools
Ysgol Dyffryn Trannon is a member of the Powys Healthy Schools project.
Congratulations!
Ysgol Dyffryn Trannon has been awarded its third Healthy Schools leaf and a Healthy Schools flag, following a recent inspection by a team of assessors. Two representatives of the Healthy Schools scheme visited and were very impressed with the level of ‘healthy’ work taking place. The assessment took place during our Healthy Schools afternoon, as part of our science week. Each class was able to demonstrate a high level of health awareness and evidence was presented to support each of the seven themes:
- Food and Fitness
- Mental and Emotional Health and Well Being
- Personal Development and Relationships
- Substance Use and Misuse
- Environment
- Safety
- Hygiene
Fully involved in the assessment process, were the recently appointed Healthy Schools Ambassadors:
- Ffion Williams (Year 1)
- Forest Love-Barkway (Year 2)
- Llywela Thomas (Year 3)
- Ffion Pal (Year 4)
- Matthew Higgins (Year 5)
- Heledd Jarman (Year 6)
The Healthy Schools Ambassadors now have their sights set on achieving phase 4, which will be inspected in 2 years’ time.
